Grinning From Ear to Ear Synopsis

Grinning is not something that any of the Bat family do easily. Its association with the Joker can't be ignored (however having the Joker on the show would seem very difficult right now). So what does this Grinning from Ear to Ear title tell us? A new villain will be targeting Gotham's social media elite and it may be up to Mary to offer the help Kate will need to track this murderer down. That's not all, read the full synopsis for the episode below:

AT WHAT COST – Batwoman (Ruby Rose) and Luke (Camrus Johnson) are on the trail of a villain targeting social media mavens. Sophie (Meagan Tandy) gets an unexpected visit from her mother, and Mary (Nicole Kang) offers her expertise to assist Kate. Jacob Kane (Dougray Scott) is approached to make good on a favor, while Alice (Rachel Skarsten) focuses on her plans for retribution. Michael Blundell directed the episode written by Denise Harkavy (#114). Original airdate 3/8/2020.

Quoting athena69:

Mary offers her expertise to assist Kate

But has Mary told Kate that she knows she's Batwoman?!?

Hmm... against Kate? Or against Cartwright?!?

We have to wait another week to find out.
On the bright side, we have 13 episodes we can re-watch in the meantime! :D
I am thinking Alice will put Kate on the back burner for this episode and focus on Cartwright as she tries to get Mouse back.

Spoon feeding fans two episodes at a time is quite frustrating. It would have been better to wait until after the Oscar's and Superbowl to launch the back half and give us an uninterrupted run of episodes.

I have been very pleased with Batwoman season 1. I think it has become my favorite in Arrowverse. This episode sounds good. I hope to see Mary and Luke work more together in scenes.

Not happy about the break between episodes 13 and 14, but this time it's "only" 2 weeks between the episodes. :-)
It looks that Mary gets targeted again by a villain! Judging from the trailer to episode 13 Nocturna is also interested into her. Well seems like Batwoman needs to make sure that nothing is going to happen to her sister.
I do like the idea of a villain who targets social media mavens. Very fitting to the time we live in... :D
There is no hint of Nocturna in this description, I hope we will see her in more than one episode!

Sounds very watchable. I'll make it a point to see it. Cheers! 8)
