Rumored Start Date for Series Filming

We've all known since May that Batwoman would be a focal point for mega show crossover this year in December. Of course since then, the news that the character would have a show built around her has us curious how much work for the crossover is also going into creating the show. As it stands now, The CW has NOT ordered a mid-season Batwoman show but due to the crossover theme, Arrowverse inclusion, and having CW veterans Greg Berlanti and Caroline Dries heading up development, a series order looks VERY likely. Beyond casting the lead, could the crossover take place in Gotham on either Earth which would lead to set development and locations used in the show? It's all unknown as it's still a little early in the process.

Secondly, there is a rumor floating around today that filming for the show could begin in early Spring 2019. A Spring start date might indicate that the show wouldn't have enough time to start on the second half of the 2018 - 2019 season but as a tent pole show for the 2019 - 2020 season. This was true for the "soft launch" of The Flash where Barry Allen actually appeared on Arrow first before gaining his powers. The events of the crossover, however, might leave fans wanting more Kate Kane ASAP which is why we are crossing our fingers for a back-half season order of 13 episodes to start.
