I am hoping that as well... It seems like she has a great relationship with Berlanti, so I am hoping this is one if their better rumours. It would make sense for her to make return vusits when her schedule permits. Supergirl really elevated her status, so I wouldn't think she would totally turn her back to the notion. WGTC are hit & miss. They suggested SG was ending after S4, so WB could focus on big screen SG. They were a bit premature with that one... but were they wrong? They were definitely wrong about Cisco exiting Flash... I think they also suggested Frost was leaving too. Who knows where they get their info... But, I actually posted this link to the Supergirl and DCTV sites with a rumour disclaimer. Fingers crossed, this one pans out... more Melissa is a good thing. Awesome casting with her.

Yet more sad news from the CW.

Alas, I lack Siggi's optimism and fear that the World's Finest will never see the light - at least not in the CWVerse. Here's an idea for ya, Siggi - in the season two finale of Batwoman, (a recast) Kate/Batwoman returns to do a 2-part World's Finest crossover with Kara/Supergirl, which will lead up to Supergirl's grande finale! It won't be quite the same without Ruby, of course, but we'll take what we can get.

Kate and Kara made such an awesome team in Crisis. Mayhaps someone will be smart enough to cast Ruby Rose and Melissa Benoist in a series together. Something along the lines of a Cagney & Lacey, or Rizzoli & Isles reboot.

Yes, bittersweet news. We are losing both Kate Kane and Kara Danvers... this World's Finest pairing will now never be.

Kate is just on a "break" for some months.
As long Melissa would be available for Crossovers.....it could still happen.
But I don't know if she would be willing to return to the role at all for such appearances.

Very sad news to hear.Supergirl has become my favorite of the Arrowverse shows and I was really hoping we would get to seven seasons.I know there was speculation about the show ending for various reasons but still was hoping we would last to 7.

With that said,looking on the bright side,atleast like Arrow,they will have a wrap up season.That's always the best way for a show to end.Not being canceled at the last minute.A proper goodbye season.Also we are getting 20 episodes which is great.And maybe thinking farther ahead,Melissa could still make a occasional guest appearance on Superman & Lois or other Arrowverse shows assuming she doesn't die like Oliver did at the end of his series and I really hope they don't do that here.That worked for Arrow but doesn't feel right IMO for Supergirl,a more hopeful character.
