I found exclusive footage which is showing one of the many trolls after he heard that Batwoman has a full season now:

Not a nice view :D

Guess he melted into a blubbering puddle.... :p

Great news!

I'm aware that the GIF was not of a real troll, but it still draws attention to them. I was making suggestions in general, as I've seen others on other sites link to them when angry about what the trolls are saying.

I'll keep things brief: we disagree in how to handle them, in the situation of television reviews, which is fine.

Ok, first of all, this GIF is a random gif from the movie Gremlin, I would never link to anything these .....creatures.... have posted (and/or have created). And I don't watch their videos on Youtube, I would get a heart attack after a while on that (no one should).

And second, the longer I think about it....I don't agree that the "play dead/don't feed them" -strategy really works with the trolls.
It may work with certain wild animals, but I don't think that it works with them (anymore).
Surely they want that attention, BUT what does happen if no one speaks up to them?
They will do what they want without any opposition, without any consequences. They just spill their hate on everything and get away with it. And I think that that encourages them much more to go on, because it is so easy when nobody fights back.
The internet is getting way too passive for my taste, sometimes I think it's like 90% are just browsing around ....completely mute (except to the people they know), 2% are somehow active, and the other 8% are trolls who are taking over control more and more each year by influencing the mute majority.
Regarding this show, I tried to inititate a countermovement against the bad IMDB ratings on this forum, on other forums and on twitter. And well, ...nearly... no one cared about it (at least from the reactions that were visible to me).
Seems too hard to make some clicks to help the show (....frustrates the hell out of me).
So, the trolls are successfull because there is nearly no opposition to them.
I have three youtube channels and two blogs. I edited together videos about the Batwoman and Kate's scenes. And of course these videos attracted trolls. If I find a new troll-comment...I instantly block the user from my channel, he/she can't comment any longer. I can't tolerate hate speech and will fight it on my sites. Of course I allow people to criticize these scenes....but if they overdo it, if they spill their hate on it....then it's the end for them on my channel.
I think the big majority should become more active. The fans of a show should encourage each other, get into discussion, support the show, and speak up against the trolls.
I think that a solid opposition drives them away and discourages these trolls. This show got a full season, and that is great, however the trolls have influenced it big time with their reviews. The show would have even better numbers, but these ratings on IMDB, Rottentomatoes and other sites are scaring off a lot of people.
And I am sad and angry about it.
Sad and angry that they can succeed with it.

They have moved onto Watchmen:
https://www.cnbc.com/2019/10/26/hbo-watchmen-is-bombing-reviews-but-that-wont-scare-off-any-viewers.html

When they are done with Watchmen, they will find another new series to attack, it's what they do.

The most important thing to remember is don't feed them - that just encourages them and they'll keep coming back for more attention. I suggest: don't talk about them further, and don't click or link their youtube videos - as this literally feeds them by the view count giving them money.
