“General”:
My highlights from this episode (without particular order):

1 – Evil Circe! In the previous episode, it already seemed that Circe would win the "mind-battle" against Kate. So, it wasn't a surprise that Circe was now back fully in control. Kate's persona is still in her but's it's totally "buried" for now. I guess it will need that password that Enigma programmed into her to get Kate back. My bet now is that will happen at the very end of the next episode.... (?). Wallis Day played Circe really fantastic in this one! She was awesomely evil and seemingly enjoyed it big time ;-) . I surely did as well!

2 – Ryan worried about Kate! Ryan was the only one that was worried about Kate and how she behaved. She felt that something wasn't right, but the others didn't share her opinion as they were just happy that Kate was (seemingly) back. They ignored all the warnings signs....and the Batwoman team had to pay the price for that. More on that later....

3 – Black Mask rallies his troops! As Black Mask's secret identity is now known to the Batwoman team....Roman has disappeared from the public to now lead his troops as Black Mask. He recruits new soldiers so that he soon can start his evil plan. It was logical that he would recruit Tavaroff, he fits in very good and together with Circe, they should be a real challenge for team Batwoman! Seems like Roman doesn't really care much anymore about his goons knowing that he is Black Mask.

4 - Roman knows Batwoman's secret identity! As Luke passes Ryan's Batwoman journals to Circe-Kate (not a nice move Luke!), Circe-Kate passes them to her father. He thereby quickly discovers that Ryan is Batwoman! This discovery has consequences immediately as he sends the GCPD after Ryan. After all, he has a lot of them on his payroll. I'm curious to see how this will be handled. Safiyah and Circe know Batwoman's secret identity most likely as well by now. This massive problem must be dealt with...otherwise Ryan and her team won't be safe in the future. But how? The only safe way would be to kill off Black Mask in the final episode of the season. That isn't "heroic" of course, but he can't know that secret and walk around. The best way would be to let finish him off in an act of self-defense. It was a nice twist that he offered Ryan/Batwoman to join him...but of course, she rejected.

5 – Circe knocks out team Batwoman and locks them up in the Batcave! They surely never thought such a thing might happen ;-). I love how nice "Kate" suddenly turned into Circe and shot the Batwoman team with tranquilizer darts. She locked them up in the elevator and raided the place! What a nightmare scenario for them...the only good thing was that she didn't kill them off as there is some Kate in her left. Wallis played it so well that I was actually clapping at my TV  . The scene where Circe playfully shooting at Sophie and Luke with that crossbow was intense!

6 - Ryan and her parole officer! I hoped that she would appear again and now she did. As the corrupt guys at the GCPD framed Ryan on Roman's orders things looked really bad for Ryan. Of course, her parole officer Susan was disappointed at the case seemed rather clear. I do like the whole scene very much! Ryan was practically forced to confess that she is Batwoman, so her secret identity was busted again, but this time at least to a "good" person. It's a great action scene as Ryan battles all the cops that enter the room. Susan is under the table with lightning speed  and witness Ryan's fighting skills. She now believes her and helps her to escape. Susan now knows how much Ryan has evolved since they first met and that she now is the masked heroine of Gotham.

7 - Circe raids the Batcave! And as she doing it, we get a LOT of easter eggs! I love how there was a Batman cowl under a blanket. And that biohazard fridge contained some nice items as well! Two of these items seem to be of big importance for the show. She grabs a vine from Poison Ivy that Safiyah needs to quickly regrow her Desert Rose population on Coryana. And she also takes a canister (sort of) with some poisonous venom. If you have seen the teaser for the final episode already, or have seen some behind-the-scenes spoiler pictures....you know for whom that stuff will be ;-) .

Circe also takes (seemingly) all the Batwoman weapons and gadgets and of course, the Batwoman suit. I will never understand why there is always only ONE suit (what about laundry day? ;-)) but ok. In the last scene of the episode, Circe is defacing the Bat symbol and cutting the suit to pieces with the Kryptonite shard she also stole. She is creating a suit for her own, and if you follow Rachel Skarsten and/or Wallis Day on Instagram or Twitter....you already know how it looks like ;-). #spoiler

All in all a complete disaster for team Batwoman! The bad guys know who Batwoman is and who is working with her. To make things even worse they have most or all the gadgets and weapons. Luke will be really busy creating some new weapons. It's no secret that he will make a Batwing suit...and I wonder if Batwoman will get a new one as well....which I hope that she DOESN'T get one as the current one is near perfection for me. The suit and cowl will hopefully not be changed....

8 - Circe VS Ryan in the Batcave! It was so great to have to actually a fight in the Batcave! And I enjoyed how both battled each other while Mary, Sophie, and Luke tried to find a way to escape the elevator. Mary trying to get the crossbow by using her belt was funny. I also liked the ending as Circe just walked away with her bag full of gadgets and weapons. She knew exactly that Sophie wouldn't be able to shoot her with Kate still inside her.

Aspects I didn't like in this episode:

>>> Very, very little Batwoman in this episode! I know more Batwoman scenes most likely wouldn't have fit into the story as it was primarily about Kate-Circe. But she had one short Batwoman action scene at the beginning, she stole that laptop but wasn't even on screen in that scene. But it was nice to have all the Batwoman secret identity issues in it with Roman and the parole officer.

-----------

More interesting aspects for me:

--- The short Batwoman scene at the start was well made. I liked how she tossed that guard through that Circe AD and also how she "tortured" the security dude with perfumes  . He should consider getting a nose hair trimmer though. From that perspective, his nose hairs looked like tentacles ready to grab Batwoman ;-)

--- It was another low blow for Mary as drunk "Kate" asked her how they would knew each other. The expression on Mary's face as she heard that sentence.....

--- Mary visiting Alice was another emotional one. Alice is devastated over Ocean's death and Mary knew that feeling as Alice poisoned her mother and made some comparisons. Alice is once again in a really bad situation. Her guy is dead, Kate isn't back (yet) and she has only enemies in Gotham.

--- The scene with Luke, "Kate" and the journals was nice ...even it is still not a nice move from Luke to just hand over Ryan's journals! It was funny how Luke reacted as "Kate" turned around and changed her top into a shirt revealing the backside of her bra. I somewhat doubt that "normal" Kate would have done that....

--- At first, I thought that Circe-Kate would be driving to the Batcave with the bike. But it wasn't such a big surprise that she visited her father and Safiyah. The journals she brought him were really useful for him.

--- It had a bitter taste to see Ryan packing her things as she was moving out of the apartment. As all were so busy welcoming "Kate" back she felt like there wouldn't be room for her anymore, that she wasn't needed as Batwoman anymore. It was interesting how Sophie showed up with that ...cleavage line.... to visit Kate. Seems like Sophie doesn't want to waste time ;-)

--- I felt bad for Ryan as she walked into the Batcave and no one was there. She saw "Kate", Mary and Luke on the screen and again it showed that she felt that there was no more place for her, that she was just a temporary replacement for Kate.

--- Seeing Alice scattering Ocean's ashes into the...ocean was quite emotional. But I do like the fact that characters of the show can still die without showing up after a little Desert Rose magic. Safiyah must really still have feelings for Alice as she wants her to be alive even with everything Alice did to her island. I wonder what role Safiyah will now play in the finale of the season. Will Alice let her live? Will Safiyah be in season 3 or is her character then be out of the show?

4,5 out of 5 -
One of my favorites episodes of this show! A thrilling, emotional episode with a lot of highlights! With a little more Batwoman in it....I would have given it a 5 out of 5 (which would have been a premiere)
