One of our favorite characters on the show is Jacob. Dougray Scott is doing a great job with him and his journey so far, has been a very tough one to watch. This man has basically lost one daughter twice and the other once, with the reality that both are still alive. That is some dark twist of fate that should really haunt a man let alone a father like Jacob. It's actually no surprise to us that under that level of stress and guilt he would turn to Snake Bite to find some form of relief. The result, however, has been Jacob going off the deep end and going a bit crazy. Sophie tried to call him out on it once but to no avail. It looks like Sophie is going to get another dose of Jacob's madness judging by these new images for Sunday's all new episode!

Given that Roman is revealing his true face to Kate (and based on the details from this interview that @comic-fan posted: https://www.cbr.com/batwoman-wallis-day-interview-preview/), it makes me wonder if he had Enigma brainwash Kate to make Kate think Roman was her real father?!? And for her to hate Jacob as much as Roman obviously does.

We'll find out (part of that plan) tonight!!

Thanks for the link, Siggi. I was able to snap a capture of the person BW2.0 is fighting - not surprisingly, they're masked, but I'm betting it's Kate. Given the style of the mask, it makes me think we might not actually see Wallis' face until closer to the end of the season. .....

I think (/hope) actually that Roman will have an intense speech while we see the back of Kate's head, like in the picture.
Then he slowly removes the bandages to see the final result of the face surgery(?), the camera zooms in on Kate's face while dramatic music is playing.
Kate 2.0 smiles diabolically as her brainwashing was successful. The screen fades to black. ;-)

I think she could use some training/exercises first as she was seemingly out of action for several weeks.
So, perhaps she will get a mask and be released onto the streets one episode after the next one.
But...perhaps you are right and she will fight the new Batwoman in that scene.
Really thrilled for the next one! (even more than usual)

Hey! Where's the trailer for this one?!? In the really poor copy I saw on the BR site, BW2.0 was fighting someone - I wonder if it's Kate?!?

We post it the night of, but the trailer we got was a global message for the time switch, not a direct trailer for the upcoming episode. We were hoping that The CW would provide a true trailer but haven't seen it yet.

Yeah, they seem to completely forget to post about the trailer for the upcoming episode on this site.
Normally they post that within 24 hours of an aired episode.
Here it is in good quality:

Wallis was awesome on Krypton. I wish we got a third season to wrap things up on that show.
I read a synopsis for season 3 somewhere - unfortunately, it seems the original post may have been removed, but here's a breakdown: https://comicbook.com/tv-shows/news/krypton-season-3-breakdown-revealed-with-hawkgirl-eradicator-and/ The important part: Nyssa was going to spend a good part of the season on the hawkpeople planet where she transported to, discovers that her real father (not the slimeball imposter we saw in the show) was a spy from that planet (she's half Thanagarian), she helps with their revolution thereby earning her wings (becoming Hawkwoman), and somehow, that's why Kal-El and Kara Zor-El can fly on Earth.

I am curious of the voice/American accent she will put forth as Kate, as I am used to her English accent. I also wonder about the tattoos or lack of...
I always have a weird shift in reality when I hear an actor's real accent, after hearing their character voice. As for the tattoos, I suspect the extensive burns Kate suffered in the plane crash will have burned many of them off. I mean, if the burns were significant enough to alter her face...

I heard the Hawks would be part of season 3 ... that sounded like a cool synopsis. Season 2 left off with Brainiac taking the baby Jor-el to Earth. I was hoping we'd get resolution and also see Lobo get Dawg.

I really wasn't thinking about the burns, but that might easily explain the "missing" tattoos.

There have been reports of people with head injuries suddenly gaining an accent and able to speak a foreign language... but I suspect she will simply camouflage her English accent and the story won't go off the rails... lol!

So excited to finally get Kate back... even if it's "altered" Kate! Whatever that means.

[quote name="CatPat"]It would have been so cool if they could have done a Supergirl episode showing what happened during Kate's visit to National City before her disappearance... maybe even a glimpse of Wallis in the Batsuit... another missed opportunity.
I wonder where in Supergirl's timelime was Kate there? Before or after being trapped in the Phantom Zone?
I'm extremely disappointed that we'll never see the Kate/Kara World's Finest team-up. They made an awesome duo.

Yeah, this is a mystery. With the later start of Supergirl, everything we are seeing in the PZ could have happened before or after the events of Batwoman's season premiere. I so wanted a World's Finest team up with Kate and Kare!

I hope so. Batwoman without Kate Kane is Batman without Bruce Wayne.
THIS!!!

Fans do not like their heroes replaced. I remember the uproar when Donna Troy (Wonder Girl) took over as Wonder Woman. Donna was well established and quite popular in her own right, but she was not Diana!

Yes,I believe this is Wallis Day's first episode. She was one of my favorite parts of Krypton.

I hope so. Batwoman without Kate Kane is Batman without Bruce Wayne.

Picture 6 is kind of dark. I had to do a double take to see the back of that brunette (maybe Kate's ?) head.

Wallis was awesome on Krypton. I wish we got a third season to wrap things up on that show.

I am curious of the voice/American accent she will put forth as Kate, as I am used to her English accent. I also wonder about the tattoos or lack of... Otherwise, I think she was perfectly cast as the new Kate Kane. I am looking forward to her much anticipated debut and hopefully some good interactions with Rachel Skarsten. These sisters have been through a lot and obviously more still to come.
