Greetings Batwoman fans! As we enter September, we would usually already be elated with the first trailer for season two of Batwoman and much of the second season would have been filmed. But, due to Covid-19 restrictions, the show is just now getting underway and production is starting to spin up. With that, we get news that we usually would have from Comic Con (cancelled due to Covid-19). A season 2 big bad has been cast according to Fandomwire.com. Shivaani Ghai has been added to the season 2 cast as Safiyah! In the comics this character is tied to Kate Kane but with Ruby Rose's departure, the Arrowverse show has linked her up with Alice. The character's description states:
A fiercely protective ruler of a small community on the island of Coryana. A woman with as many enemies as aliases, she is compassionate and charismatic with both physical and psychological prowess. She is beloved by her people and will stop at nothing to protect what’s hers. No one goes unnoticed by Safiyah, specifically when it comes to those who have encountered the Desert Rose.
